Cigna Dental Insurance Coverage

Making the most of dental insurance benefits is important to ensure our patients receive the dentistry services they need at a price that fits their budgets. In addition to processing and filing dental insurance claims for most major PPO benefit plans, we are happy to provide in-network coverage for many plans, like Cigna dental insurance. Your Cigna Dental Benefit Plan

Every Cigna dental benefit plan is a unique contract between insurers, patients, and/or their employers. That means we will need to review your unique policy before we can provide accurate estimates of your insurance coverage and out of pocket treatment costs. However, we recommend patients make the most of their dental insurance coverage by visiting us at least every six months for dental checkups. These preventive appointments are typically covered between 80 to 100% by dental insurance plans, and visiting the dentist regularly is the best way to maintain optimal oral health. In addition to preventive care, most Cigna dental insurance plans offer the following coverage:

• Restorative dentistry like fillings and crowns receive between 50 and 80% coverage
• Tooth replacement solutions like bridges, partials, and full dentures receive 25 to 50% coverage
• Orthodontics (when elected) typically receive 25 to 75% coverage

In-Network Insurance Coverage

As in-network dental insurance providers, we have a standing agreement to charge fees for dental services as outlined by Cigna. That means you will only be responsible for the out of pocket percentage of your treatment costs. Out of network dentists can charge higher fees for service, but you will be responsible for the difference in price as well as your out of pocket percentage of treatment cost. In most cases, any differences in pricing are minimal, but with an in-network dentist, you won’t have this concern.

In-House Dental Benefit Plan

If you don’t have traditional dental insurance coverage, we are happy to offer an in-house dental benefit plan. This low cost plan allows you to receive all of your necessary preventive dental care at no additional cost as well as receiving discounts on all other services, even those not covered by traditional dental benefit plans.

Financing Options

At the time of service, we do ask that patients pay the out of pocket cost of their dental treatment plan. We accept payment in cash, check, or credit card. For those who want to extend the payment of their dental care out over several months, we are happy to work with CareCredit to provide low and no interest financing plans. This third party financier offers a variety of financing options to make even the most advanced dental treatments more affordable.
